The Braintree Police are happy to announce that on July 26th 2023, Mayor Charles Kokoros appointed Deputy Chief Tim Cohoon to the rank of Police Chief. Chief Cohoon came from a strong administration as the Deputy Chief of Operations under Chief Mark Dubois.
Chief Cohoon started with the Braintree Police in 1996 and has held leadership positions in patrol, detectives, special operations and administration. He is also a 2023 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
Outgoing Chief Dubois had led the department since 2019 and has accepted a new position as the Chief of the Portland Maine Police Department. Congratulations to both!
